Hi everyone Aaron here for zollotech and theiphone 11 pro max and the iphone 12 pro max are both basically flagships or the largest availablesize from each year of phone and so i want to help you decide if you should update from the iphone1 1 pro max to the 12 pro max or maybe upgrade to the 11 pro max now the first thing you need toknow is that apple no longer sells the 11 pro max new from apple.com or the apple collect theywill sell my shares to participating retailers or approved retailers but it’s not availablefrom apple anymore other than being refurbished it comes in at $999, $1149, or $1349 typically witha carrier contract so it certainly depends on where you get it the iphone 12 pro max comes in threedifferent variants as well $ 1099 to $1199 or $1399 and each of them are available in differentstorage options with the 11 pro max “youve had” 64 256 or 512 gigabyte storage options with the 12 pro max you get an additional 64 gigabytes at the low-spirited resolve 128 gigabytes 256 or 512 so you geta little bit of an extra bonus if you get the lower expiration iphone 12 pro max this year now whenit comes to the dyes the 11 pro max comes in a few different colors now it does have opening grayas you can see here and we had a brand-new colouring last year midnight park we also have gold and silverwith the 12 promax the lettuce has been replaced with this new pacific off-color and then we also havea silver then we have gold and we also have what they call graphite which is basically the exactsame thing as cavity grey-headed on the 11 promax so you can see here they’re mostly the exact samething now as far as their build and overall intend well both are made of stainless steelof course this year the edges are a little bit different and there’s some varies with the1 2 pro max but overall the constructed is the same stainless steel on the outside rims glass frontand back so let’s go around the phones and then talk about the materials and everything else nowon the right hand side of the phone we have our capability sleep wake button like we always have andon the 11 pro max we have a sim card tray on the 12 pro max we have a millimeter gesticulate antenna for5g in the united states so in the united states you’ll have this little cutout around the worldyou won’t definitely have that on the top there’s nothing really there it’s not very exciting andthen on the left hand side you’ve got your silent switch with your magnitude buttons and your sim cardtray on the 12 pro max so on the bottom you have lightning just like you do on all the otherphones and then you have asymmetric speaker and microphone pits so the microphone you’ve gotfour loopholes the speaker you have six different faults on either one of them so it’s a little bitdifferent on either and as you can see the 12 pro max is squared off we’ve gone back to the designthat we had mostly with the iphone 5 and 5s and various kinds of a combination between that andthe four because we have glass front and back now this year with the 12 pro max you have ceramicshield which fixes it four times less likely to break in the event that you discontinue the phone youhave this matte finish on the back which is really nice around the camera bump you can see it’s moreof a silky or exactly regular glass and then on the figurehead “youve had” ceramic shield now this particularglass like i said is less likely to break but i’m not sure that it’s less likely to scratchwith the 11 promax after a year of use there are a ton of scrapings on it so far i’ve had yet toscratch the phone the 12 pro max the 11 pro max scratched a little easier in my experience so it seemslike it should be a little bit more durable but still if you’re worried about that of courseuse a screen defender now the overall weight is a little bit different the 11 promax is 7. 97 ounces or 226 grams where the 12 pro max is 8.03 ounces or 228 grams so it is a little bit heavierand that’s because of the cameras and a few other things so we’ll talk about those in a moment nowbefore we are speaking of the flaunts you can see the phone is a little bit bigger with the 12 pro maxso is not simply is it a little bit heavier but it’s a little bit taller width it’s about the same soit is a little bit taller and it feels much larger because of the squared off peripheries now as far as thedisplays well the expose is larger more because of the larger squared off formulate so with the iphone1 1 pro max you have a 6.5 inch 2688 by 1242 with 458 pixels per inch display with the 12 promaxyou get a 0.2 inch size increase further 6.7 inches with 2778 by 1284 pixel decide with 458 pixelsper inch so they’re both fanciful flaunts they both reinforcement true manner wide complexion p3 they havethe same 800 nits of brightness in regular use they also both go up to 1200 nits of brightnesswhen playing hdr content so they’re very similar that direction they both have wide color p3 as well andhave great viewing inclinations you’re not going to have any issues examining them outdoors or in sunlightor anything like that and they look great overall so in general they’re mostly the same some havesaid that the screen on the 12 pro max is a little bit warmer but in tess it’s shown that it’s morecolor accurate so the 12 pro max seems to be a better display in many people’s measures that havetested it professionally now both telephones being super retina xdr exhibitions means they’re oledso they have pwm that means that’s how it’s controlling the brightness squandering waver of thedisplay that’s just how oled showings act or most oleds i should say on telephones and as you fetching itbrighter it’s flickering the screen faster wreaking it down it’s it’s flickering slower you can’t seethis with your eyes but it does bother some people so both phones have the same thing neither ofthem inconvenience me and in fact the 12 pro max seems to bother me less for some reason the 11 pro maxif i was tired it would vex me a little causing me to get headaches but with the1 2 pro max i don’t notice that at all so that might be a little bit of a help to thosethat it inconveniences you it’s about 1 in ten or so now the iphone 12 pro max and the 11 promax can both play 4k hdr video like i said so if we go into youtube we’ll take a lookat my iphone 12 pro revaluation 1 month last-minute and we’re in hdr so if we go to select the videoresolution let me switch to either one now you’ll be understood that on both telephones we have the optionfor 4k or 2160 p hdr so “youve had” that option if you have one of these newer phones so eitherone you’ll have a higher bitrate and you’ll be able to watch this video so you’ll see it mightlook blow out to you on the parade right now but i can see super bright shinings in thebackground and genuinely deep blacks around the whole screen so if you don’t have an hdr displayit’s hard to understand what it looks a lot like but you’ll still have 4k video as well so let’s switchover to a different video the iphone 12 one month later so you can hear the speakers so we’ll switchto this so i’ll press play on the eleven inspires i used it for an entire week and likewise mydaughter’s been using it full-time and so i wanted to share her battery life with you aswell since i’ve been using the 12 pro max as well and now let’s try the same thing on the 12 pro maxat least alongside the iphone 12 pro and i’ve been using it on and off i used it for an entire weekand also my daughter’s been using it full season and so i wanted to share her battery life with youas well since now when comparing both of them they sound very similar the 12 pro max does seema little bit clearer at the greater of loudness but basically they’re very close but again youcan hear that and hopefully you could hear the difference between both of them they’re bothplenty thunderou they both have immense stereo phone as well now as far as overall fast well they’rea little bit different as far as their cpu and ram with the iphone 11 pro max you have thea1 3 bionic with four gigabytes of ram and it had what apple called the next gen neuralengine with the iphone 12 pro max you have the a14 bionic with six gigabytes of ram and the thirdgeneration neural instrument so it should be a little bit faster doing specific types of apps now ifyou’re just opening certain apps you’re going to find the experience to be mostly the samei already had music open on the 12 pro max it is therefore took a moment to load if i close those out goback in you’ll see that they’re going to quantity it mostly the same rate if i go into somethinglike weather the same sort of thing is true and then again if i go into say installs andjust want to scroll you’re going to have the same experience on either one when you go intothe cameras it’s going to be fast for either one and snapping a photo there’s no slowdowns herewhatsoever now when you’re doing intensive enterprises maybe editing a photograph if we go into edit on eitherone of them and maybe auto adjust it takes about the same amount of period so you’re really not goingto see immense benefits there but when you’re doing intensive tasks such as exporting 4k video you maysee a difference so let’s go ahead and try that so i’ll go into imovie now in imovie i havethe same video imported it’s the exact same video in every channel i just imported it on each oneit’s 3 minutes and 46 seconds and i included a title to a couple parts of it so that it would have tore render and re-export everything and so you can see it’s the same video and what i’ll do is i’llbring in an iphone 12 pro as a stopwatch now slide them over and i’ll export them and we’llsee how long it makes we’ll make done on both and then we’ll reach exportation or share and then we’ll save video we’ll try and do thisat the same time start and let’s see what happens and they should be fairly close the extra ram mayhelp a little bit but let’s see what they can do and as you can see the differences were veryminor in exporting video so a few seconds or a duo seconds discrepancies between each so both aresuper fast and even with the added ram you’re not really going to see a huge benefit with exportingvideo unless the record is over 10 minutes long now after exporting a video the phone will usuallyheat up a little bit it did get a little bit warm right around the cpu which is near now andthen on the back of the 12 pro it’s actually not as warm so depending what you’re doing theywill heat up a little bit but that’s normal and it seems to be handling it just fine exportingvideo like that are currently with the iphone 12 pro max you have 5g this year so you get qualcomm modems with5g millimeter wave and sub 6. Now where i live we don’t really have millimeter gesticulate depending on thecarrier you have that’s mostly verizon and doesn’t pertain to most of the world so i don’t reallycount it too much until it’s readily available but sub 6 is available in time exercising the iphone 12 pro max since applying the 11 pro max which both are my main phones depending on the year the 11 promax i did rarely have issues because it had an intel modem in it and with 5g g i do noticea double the rush inconsistency when downloading things from the internet so a hurry evaluation will showvery different rates depending on where you’re unearthed and what your signal strength is but iwas get doubled the speeding with the 12 pro max versus the 11 pro max on 5g versus 4g i alsonoticed that i haven’t threw a single call on the 12 pro max so i’m seeing better connectivityoverall that’s my personal experience and it will vary depending on where you live and what carrieryou have now as far as the cameras are concerned both are really great cameras the forward-facingcameras on both of these are identical they’re both 12 megapixel f 2.2 aperturesand they both have face id so face id is going to be the same on either turn it on swipeup and they’re going to unlock promptly so again with that face id camera it’s just going to unlockquickly you’re not going to see a difference between either but the forward-facing camerasare pretty much indistinguishable in every road so you’re not compromising there other than the lack of hdrvideo on the 11 pro max so we’ll talk more about that in a moment with the rear cameras there’s abigger change though you can see right away that the camera module is much larger on the 12 pro max and that’s because on the 12 pro max they have a much larger sensor and some changes to thelenses so for example with the 11 pro max you have triple 12 megapixel cameras you have an ultrawide f 2.4 a wide f 1.8 and a telephoto f 2.0 and you can record up to 4k 60. With the 12 promax you again have triple 12 megapixel cameras but you have a wide f 1.6 this time and then an ultrawide f 2.4 and a telephoto f 2.2 with a 5x visual zoom and up to a little bit more zoom range 12 xversus 10 x you have 4k 60 but you can also record in dolby perception hdr and so as far as everythingelse in the camera you have better low-grade light-colored as far as the 12 pro max is concerned and you cantake night photos on any of your cameras this time and you also have night sketch as well withthe 12 pro max and we’ll test that in a moment now you likewise have apple pro raw coming last-minute inthis year or it may already be here depending on if you have it once and that’s an option inyour gives so if we go into settings we’ll go down to camera for example and then we’ll go intocamera on both and i’ll show you the difference so camera on the 11 pro max if we go into ourvideo you can see that we have hdr video on one on the 12 pro max and regular 4k 60 on the1 1 pro max so there’s insignificant changes there likewise again pro raw so if we go into the cameraunder formats you have apple pro raw as policy options for the 12 pro max that’s only for the 12 proand the 12 pro max where you can take raw photos and get more data in detail and then modify it alittle bit later likewise with the zoom you can see the little bit of a difference here the 12 prosays 2.5 where the 11 pro max says two so the 12 pro max is 2. 5 versus two so let’s go aheadand take a look at what these are capable of with the video from the forward-facing camerarear-facing camera some photos and night as well so this is the forward-facing camera of theiphone 11 pro max and the iphone 12 pro max both forward-facing cameras are verysimilar but the iphone 11 pro max cannot do hdr where the 12 pro max can also you canhear the difference in the microphones on both so here’s the iphone 11 pro max that i’mrecording from and here’s the iphone 12 pro max so let me know which one seems bestto you and watches best in specific comments below now when it comes to the battery life apple saysthey both substantiate up to 20 hours of video playback that got nothing to do with being connected to theinternet or to lte or 5g that’s just if “youve had” the video downloaded onto them despite the iphone1 2 pro having a little bit smaller artillery so the 11 pro max has a 3969 milliamp hour artillery andagain that will last 20 hours of video playback the iphone 12 pro max has a 3687 milliamp hourbattery now those are both pretty good as far as their overall size but because of the newerchipset in the 12 pro max you’re getting about the same battery life with my day-to-day usei’m seeing about the same with the 11 pro max i could get a liter 10 to 12 hours of screen ontime with the 12 pro max i’m seeing about the same at the end of the day i have 50 left andyou can see some of my battery utilization here and it’s going to motley vastly and honestly i thinki’m getting more battery life than this is saying because it’s easily getting me through a dayand a half to two days with regular expend so i’m seeing similar battery life so much so that idon’t really have to pay attention to it because they’re both great now both fast charge up to 50 in 30 minutes if you’re using a wired tie-in and say a 20 watt charger like this that’s notincluded in either container now so you’ll need that and then likewise you have magsafe on the 12 pro maxso this helps it fast charge wirelessly it centers itself and allows up to 15 watts fast chargingnow this also allows for certain supplements with magsafe in them as well such as casesyou can see the little magnet pealing here and so it helps adhere to the back and then there’sother accessories for magsafe such as car mounts and more so you’ll picture more of that in the futurewhere you have a magnetic adhesion to the back of the phone it fastens it in gives it a little bit ofa special animation and that’s for the future and i think that’s for a wireless future of iphones alittle bit later maybe with ios or iphone 13 or so now as far as anything else well the iphone1 2 pro max and the 11 pro max have slightly different ip ratings or sea opposition sothe 11 pro max has an ip6 8 rating of up to four rhythms for 30 minutes so that’s pretty goodbut the 12 pro max proceeds a little further ip68 6 rhythms up to 30 instants so they’ve increased thedepth that it can handle it seems to be a little bit better sea sealed now the two are fantasticphones but which one should be used buy well that are actually depends on which telephone you already have nowif you have an iphone 11 pro max i’d probably hang on to this for an additional year because with the1 1 pro max you’re basically getting the same sort of phone but with the curved fringes now i reallylike the brand-new sort cause of the squared off blueprint i think it feels a little bit more premium itmakes it a little bit easier to control but it is a fingerprint magnet and of course if “youre using” a casethat helps with that but in general i think it feels a little bit nicer i’ve been waiting fora squared off telephone for a while but i know not everyone likes that and countless parties prefer therounded perimeters and the rounded shapes of the screen it’s very different feeling in your hands so ifyou have the chance to try one out i would try one before switching but if you have an 11 promax i’d probably wait until next year’s phone before i modernize it however if you’re comingfrom an elderly telephone a 10 s 10 s max anything older than that i think you’ll really like the 12 promax and that’s what i’d look for in the future it’s going to have one year extra support basedon what we’ve seen in the past with ios revises and so each one is good for about five years ofupdates in general but i would really go for the newer phone if you’re on an old-fashioned phone if you arealready on an 11 pro max well then i would stick with that but
