Hi everyone Aaron here for Zollotech and theiphone 10 r is the least expensive iphone that apple sells new that has face id and so i wantedto help you decide if you should pick one up in 2021 since apple is still selling it brand new andthe first thing is i think apple is selling this still because it sold so well in fact the firstyear or so it sold about 46 million phones so this was one of the best selling telephones for quite sometime and i think it still sells quite well due to its premium and it offers a lot of value but there’ssome shortcomings more and the first thing is the price i think it sells well now peculiarly becauseit’s 4.99 begins with so 4.99 for 64 gigs of storage up to 549 for gigabytes of storage that’swhat apple currently offers it for brand-new so that’s a hundred dollars less than we had in 2020 andlike i said it’s the least expensive phone that they give with face id but you do have the secondgeneration iphone se which is a little bit less if you prefer touch id so you’ve got thesetwo options on the low demise as far as apple’s pricing vanishes and i think the iphone 10 r offersa lot of value and it’s a very durable phone over the years that i’ve had it it’s been storedin a pouch sometimes with a lawsuit sometimes without and as you can see the finish is held up reallywell there is one spot now where it seems to have nicked some of the finish off we’re down tothe aluminum and this must have just slammed into something that was metal because this ispretty sturdy in general if you have a case on it you can expect this to last-place really well i’vehad no issues with the ports everything’s held up really well and it’s proved to be a extremely durablephone it does have glass on the back and figurehead but it seems to be fairly scratch resistant not asscratch resistant as am telling the ceramic shield in the iphone 12. I think some of that has to do withthe display sticking up above the edge a little bit but in general it’s held up well and if i turnthe phone off now or the display off you can see there’s a few lighter scratchings on it some of themare deeper than others but that’s basically really from working it putting it in my pocket putting itin a baggage for example and then up now there’s a scratching as well so it’s not impervious toscratches it braced restraints up pretty well but not as well as some of the newer phones too youcan see it has face id it unlocks nice and quick there’s not really any slowdowns there i thinkit’s nice and fast as you pick it up it will unlock simply by looking at it and a lot of peoplelike this now again like i said if you don’t then you’ll have to select something that’s a little bitolder like the iphone 8 plus for example or even the iphone se that has better specs internallyhowever face id is currently working enormous for many beings especially with the upcoming updates that willbring apple watch unlock with a mask and face id so i think that will be great for a lot of peopleif that was one of the problems “youre gonna” having now the exhibition is probably the most controversialthing and that is because it’s a 6.1 inch display with a resolution that’s in between 720 p and1 080 p or hd settlement so 1792 by 828 pixels but the thing parties genuinely should be focusing onis the pixel density of 326 pixels per inch that’s the same pixel density as we get with the iphonesc second generation and because it’s an lcd display it’s to have more colourful dyes andit’s brighter in fact the iphone 10 r goes up to about 625 nits and technically is hdr stillbut it’s not as color as the 1200 nits or so almost doubled that with the iphone 12 pro max soin sunlight it’s going to be a little bit better as far as the newer phones but for most peopleyou won’t be able to tell the difference it has great viewing directions and it can play 4k youtubeeven though the exhibition is still below 1080 p so if i go into youtube for example and we go to ourresolutions you can see 2160 p hdr so it’s capable of playing hdr material 2160 p is 4k and it willplay that without a number of problems it won’t go as bright as a 12 pro or 12 for example but it does lookgood so if i hit play here you can see that it’s on hdr and it’s nice and bright and it’s nice andloud as far as the speakers so if i turn these off but there’s some amazing brightsand darks in this display and so it moves nice and raucou the speakers workwell the government has immense stereo hubbub at the top and bottom and just in general the showing combinedwith the speakers is a nice experience if you’re viewing something such as a movie or playinga game performance with the a12 bionic that’s inside here is very fast anyone i know thathas it has not really complained of its rush if you’re just scrolling perhaps you’re goingback and forth between pages or you’re opening the camera or going back out it’s nice and fast ifyou wanted to play a game for example we’ll go to minecraft precisely to show you how quickly it lades ifyou want to use this for a game we’ll wait for it here just a moment and you’ll see i haven’t openedthis in quite some time so it times have to reload but i wanted to give you an idea of what it’slike to load or play a game updated his phone it started over andhe has three hours and 37 hours of screen on time four hours and 23 hours of screen off timeand he’s only exploited about 50 percentage of his artillery which makes he would get about seven hours ofscreen on time so it’s actually get immense battery life for the telephone it will readily got to get througha era without a number of problems and it ahead and quickened experiment it this ison t-mobile i have a t-mobile sim in here and you’ll understand accelerate is nice in my area with twobars of service so we’re getting up to 20 megabits per second you will get a faster rate with say5g for example in my region but 25 down is not bad so we’re hitting roughly 27 down and then prettyslow upload rates but that’s just the area i’m in a duo or about two to three megabits per secondas far as upload rush but it truly depends on where you’re at but like i said reception ingeneral has been good with this now one expanse where i’ve really enjoyed expending the iphone 10 ris its camera the camera perhaps because of its lens design looks really good when you’rerecording video in fact i’ve consumed this to record a lot of videos when i’m filming outside the onething you don’t get that the new telephones get is hdr but you do get up to 4k 60. So if i go intothe camera for example go to video you’ll see we have hd we’ll tap on this we’ll change it to4k and then like i said we have up to 60 formulates per second if you’re using 30 frames per secondyou’ll be able to use the neural locomotive to better sort of understand your environment and it looksa little bit better but you can go up to 30 frames per second and it looks great and so this isa camera i’ve applied a lot of epoches for video and the photos are great extremely the one thing thatsome people complain about is it doesn’t have a telephoto lens or ultra wide lens the ultra wideis a disadvantage but the telephoto is no longer a large-hearted of a spate as you might think on the newer phonessuch as the iphone 12 for example when you zoom in to 2.5 x for example on the 12 pro max it actuallywill use the main camera still so you’ve got three lenses on the newer phones and if i go to thecamera you go to photo i’ll thrown my digit over it now you’ll ensure my digits over the lens we’ll tapon 2.5 x it’s still exploiting that same camera because it can get better resolution with the sensor thisis the same sort of thing that’s done on the 10 r when you zoom in a little bit so it actually lookspretty good until you go to about 5x for example then it gets a little blurry doesn’t glance asgood but it’s still respectable when you’re zoomed in you’ll see the detail of the keyboard here ispretty good so it’s not amazing but it’s better than most people would think the one area wherethe 10 r shortages a little bit these days is with the facetime camera this is only a 7 megapixel cameraand if i go to video it simply records in 1080p the microphones are pretty decent as you can hear nowbut the overall excellence is still not that of say the iphone 11 or the newer telephones because thoserecord in 4k this is only 1080 p and so that’s one neighbourhood where you have a little bit of a disadvantagebut you still have the ability to use things like animoji for example if i go into themes youcan use the animoji it will track your face if you want to play around with that you can do thatand it will track your face and mouth shifts so it’s working just fine without a number of problems andif you like all of these features you’ll have those so you’ll have everything that’s in thelatest telephones along with augmented actuality now another thing to consider between these devicesis pwm and this is why a lot of parties stay with lcd spectacles over oled and that’s how they controlbrightness an lcd parade does not flicker the display on iphones to control the brightness wherean oled spectacle does by gleam the showing faster or slower it restrains brightness andthis can cause some people to feel nauseated or motive look strain this is fairly ofeverything i would say that if you could spend an extra 100 i would go for the iphone 11 at thispoint because you get an extra camera you have a little bit better video and better video onthe forward-facing camera as well the screens are identical but you have all the latest specsand you also get better ip resistance which symbolizes ip68 up to two rhythms for 30 minutes with the 11 or only ip67 one meter for 30 hours with the 10 r so you do have a couple advantages that i thinkare worth that additional hundred dollars but if the camera doesn’t matter to you the Facetime cameradoesn’t matter to you the 10 r will actually get a little bit better battery life so if you’remore concerned about battery life and durability and precisely not having something that’sthat expensive where you could spend perhap by two of the 10 r for the cost of the 12 for example this would be the best phone to get at that premium array specially if you can pick oneup say at a carrier that gives you a administer maybe free with a trade-in or something like that ithink it’s an excellent choice either that highway or use it’s still enormous but let me know whatyou think about it in
