There are four main components in the iPhonecharging process. That’s right. The first one is the power source itself, who were able to the wall charger or your computer or the car charger. The second is the lightning cable or chargercable. The third is the charging port on the bottomof your iPhone. And the fourth is the iPhone software itself. Now for the first step in this video, we’regoing to walk you through a quite normal scenario at the Apple Store.I’ll be the customer. David will be the ticking. All privilege. It’s been a while, but I can recollect howit departs. Hey, what’s going on with your iPhone? Well won’t turn on it’s not charged and Imissed my son’s birthday because I couldn’t get the Calendar app open. I missed a very important call from job. And now I don’t get the promotion they gaveit to sue instead. I merely drove four hours here from Plattsburghand you fastened my iPhone in 15 seconds. How did you do that? Well, I did a hard reset on your iPhone. Well, I call the Apple support line.I have an iPhone 7 hoping to do a hard resetby holding down the influence button and the loudnes. Down button, and they said if I had an iPhone6 or older that I would have had a hold down the influence button and the dwelling button rightfor how long about 510 seconds, right? So here’s the truth. You thought you would hard-boiled reset your iPhone, but you didn’t hold down the buttons for long enough. And this was a super of the Apple Store peoplewould come in and say exactly what David really did I’d contain the iPhone nursed the buttons downfor not just 5 or 10 seconds, but maybe comprise him down for 20 seconds or 30 seconds becauseif there’s a problem with your iPhone, it exactly may take a little bit longer to turnon. You’ll find in your gas station, right? So what an MFi licensed cable is is it certifiedby Apple to actually work with iPhones MFi certification is only given to sure-fire manufacturersof iPhone cables.So if you’re to purchase a$ 3 Cable of the gasstation. It’s probably not my certified and it couldhave all sorts of difficulties. Now, where can they get a great certifiedcable? Right? Well, undoubtedly Apple cables are all certifiedbut other residences have cheaper ability. So we cherish this amazonbasics cable. I actually use this one next to my daddy andthis is a 6 paw high phone. Very long table, right? Yep.It’s great. I can use it bet you get it on Amazon. Look at how long that cable is. Oh, so how do you know if an iPhone cableis my showed what you need to do is take a look and look for this established for iPod iPhoneand iPad logo. If you see that that it’s verified. So never use rice to dry out an iPhone itcan sometimes ruin an iPhone.That would have come back to life. I’ve seen that multiple times at the AppleStore. So same deal with the bottom of the iPhonebrush it out gently with anti brushing or toothbrush. So now we’ve checked the cable the chargerand the lightning port on your iPhone. The last thing here is the iPhone software, right? And the iPhone software is probably the mostimportant part of the iPhone charging process because it’s the software that decides whetherto charge your iPhone when you push it in. So how do we cook that trouble to fix the softwareproblems? We’re gonna have to do a dfu recover on youriPhone software now, it’s kind of touchy to do especially with your first time. Fortunately, I made a special video walkingyou through the entire process and we’ll link to that below. Yep. You should always do a dfu recover it beforeyou think it’s a equipment question because the dfu restore is an apple Tech’s last-ditcheffort to fix any application difficulties before they decide if it’s a equipment trouble. So if you go on to the Apple Store, the probablyjust do it if you restore regardless, right? So made to ensure that you do it at home beforeyou go in and you could end up wasting hours of your daylight, right? So you do the dfu recover that didn’t work.You may need to get a restored first off. There’s apple right apple is a good choiceif your iPhone’s at our guaranty and it’s not injury raising it to the Apple Store.
