and it made auto exposure accessible to the masses. It was a really popular camera, and a lot of people had it. A few years
later, Apple was selecting sounds and a guy named Jim
Reekes was the one who put it all together.
He made the Mac startup sound.
reekes decided that taking a screenshot should sound
like a camera,
and he used the very popular camera that he had:
the canon AE-1,
and he recorded the sound. Later on:
“we’ve got a two megapixel camera built right in.” Apple decided to use the same sound. (Canon AE-1 Sound) When you take a picture. So every time you hear
